The Texas Rehabilitation Association (TRA) is excited to announce a call for award nominations. Make a difference by acknowledging the contributions of others! Consider nominating a rehabilitation professional or a TRA member who contributed to the field in some meaningful way. Please find below the award category information and deadlines.

 

Rehabilitation Professional of the Year - presented to a rehabilitation professional who has made an outstanding contribution to one of the following which resulted in more effective services to persons with disabilities: rehabilitation of persons with disabilities and/or expansion of medical or rehabilitation programs and services.

Marilyn Padgett Extra Mile - presented to the TRA member who has/have made exemplary contributions to the broad field of rehabilitation.

Student of the Year: Presented to the student (any level) who shows evidence of positive impact upon the rehabilitation field. Examples of evidence include, but are not limited to, volunteer work, advocacy, program implementation, research, or community service.

 

Nominator must be TRA member. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

 

 

Nominations are due July 17th, 2023, Monday.

 

Nominators and nominees will be notified of the awards committee decision by August 1st, 2023. Awards will be given at the 2023 TRA Conference September 6th – 8th, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. For questions, please contact Saara Grizzell at 956- 665-3050 or email admin@txrehabassoc.org.
